Deadline Exclusive - “Deep Rising” sets release with Abramorama

Abramorama has locked down North American rights to Deep Rising, the eco-thriller documentary narrated and exec produced by Jason Momoa that world premiered earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival.

Directed and produced by Matthieu Rytz, the film is billed as a tale of geopolitical, scientific and corporate intrigue, investigating the future of the world’s energy crisis and how it is currently tied to the fate of the deep ocean floor, which is itself intricately linked to our survival. It’ll first hit Village East by Angelika in New York on October 27th before expanding to the Laemmle theaters in Los Angeles and across the U.S. and Canada beginning November 3rd.
